Online Training Has No Limits

A lot of businesses mistrust or fear the move to Online Training.  They stay with classroom based training because it’s what they know and as an old saying goes,  “better the devil you know than the devil you don’t”. Some businesses are not market leaders and afraid to move to new technologies until it has been tried and tested by others.

Sometimes we are afraid to make the leap because of the unknown.

We have always done out training in a classroom environment and it works and we have control over it.  We fear technology and the unknown.

What a lot people may not be acutely aware of, is that online training is not a new phenomenon. Online Training can be termed as distance learning which has in fact been around for nearly 100 years. The earliest forms of distance education were conducted through letters before it changed into two-way radio education. But it was only recently that online education took off due to major advances in computer and Internet technology. It can be argued that online education is just another step in the evolutionary progress of distance education, the practice of which is also time-tested.

If you don’t try you won’t succeed

Do you want your business perceived as “forward thinking”, “moving with the times”, “relevant”. Most successful companies evolve to meet with current demands. Clients demands change all the time. Business now is completely different to even one decade ago.

According to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU or United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies),

The proportion of households with Internet access at home increased from 18% in 2005 to 46% in 2015

By the end of 2015, 69% of the global population will be covered by at minimum 3G mobile broadband, up from 45% in 2011.

That’s worth repeating – It is estimated that 69% of the global population have broadband access. Think of that as, potentially 69% of the world’s population could have access to YOUR training material!
